I think schools like this is wonderful. I have two boys with Autism I would have been lost without a school like this one. But the funny thing is if I hadn't had kids with Autism this is not something I would have known. This is information should be given out to every parent as a possibility. So when or if it does come up they will not have to go searching for a (what to do). and if they don't need it Best believe they will know at least another person who will need it.

Very good article! I would be interested in learning how or if I could have access to some of the reclaimed water in order to have a nice lawn.

Dear Sylvia -- This is very well-written, a story about the creation of another story. You really do a rich and compelling job. Your writing is clear and entirely convincing. Very nice work and it is perfect for the new Grad Zone section.

I took classes with Roy in 1989-91 at Palomar College. I credit him with getting me to think of myself as an artist rather than a dabbler, and for helping me find an artistic vision, which I have been persuing since. Plus, he was funny!

Thanks, Roy!

Reporter's note:

Mr. Knight did not make the announcement of the child development center's renaming. It was Nike CEO Mark Parker who did, as well as being the one who made the decision to rename the center. I regret the error.

Correction:
The renaming of the NIKE child care center was incorrectly attributed as being from Phil Knight, NIKE CEO. It was Mark Parker, president and CEO of NIKE who made the decision, and accordingly the statement announcing the renaming.

Hello Mary,

Thank you for the kind words. We are pleased you enjoyed the article.

The statistics were obtained via several sources: the NU Commencement program; the Chancellor's page on the NU Web site; and from Interim President Potter's speech at the ceremony itself.

Regards,

Mike

My husband use to own Cool Spring Water Filter Co and had Roy Rogers as a client. One day Mr. Rogers gave him to of his prints, which I dearly love. One is a still life of flowers and the other shows a beautiful women, big hat over one eye, smoking a cigarette. It's done in tones of browns and is my very favorite. I'm glad I found this site and hope Mr. Rogers remains in good health, making and exhibiting his art for many years to come. SP
